Since our very first event in 1990, our motto ‘Raising money for children in a fun way’ has not changed. As a guiding principle it has served us well and seen the Italian Job raise over £3.2 Million in 35 years. Since that first Italian Job event, the organisers have selected one national children’s charity to support, for all events and it has been so gratifying to see ‘Jobbers’ embracing our choices and responding so enthusiastically delivering staggering fundraising totals that have in turn helped families and children across the UK. In recent years we have questioned whether national charities need our support as much as smaller, local causes do and, after much deliberation, we have decided to change things with effect 2026.

The Italian Job event to Italy
Jobbers taking part in the Italian Job event to Italy in October can choose to support a charity of their choice. A charity that lives, breathes, operates and impacts in the towns and cities in which the team livers in.
We believe that choosing a local cause will make fundraising that much easier for our teams. We want to encourage our teams to ‘work in partnership’ with their chosen charities and in addition to raising much needed funds, also use their physical presence to raise awareness of the cause locally. Combined this will create maximum impact.
We see local charities reciprocating and using their channels and networks to support Jobbers in their fundraising. We feel close collaboration like this will help to create a tight and unbreakable bond that will consequently see more money being raised, donated and put to immediate use and to maximum impact.
National Charity
For consistency, and in the event that any participating teams prefer to fundraise for one national cause, we have chosen an incredible national charity close to our hearts. It’s called Action for Children their Crisis Fund pays for essentials like food, clothes and heating bills in times of crisis.
